Name: Henry Door: Right. Canon: Fire Emblem: Awakening Canon Point: Post Ylisse-Plegia War, pre-Valmese War, after joining Chrom’s cause to fight in his army. Age: Unknown. By canon, old enough to marry. Visibly, around 18-20. Appearance: Henry dresses in an ornate, almost gothic sort of style and wears a perma-smile, his eyes rarely seen. Visuals can be found here, and here.History: Can be found here!Personality: Negative: First and foremost, Henry is macabre. Not only does he introduce himself as someone who has “a thing for killing”, but he makes terrible puns, jokes that are absolutely cringey, and pokes fun in the most unsettling of ways. Conversations with Henry are typically riddled with off-color humor about death and dismemberment. Throughout canon he references tearing the limbs off of things, or wings off of insects, and gathering body parts for his “collection”, (such as toenails or a jar of preserved eyeballs). He seemingly enjoys harming others, frequently asking if there’s someone he needs to curse or kill. Despite this, he’s not a villainous sort, and doesn’t actively attack or harm others without provocation or instruction to do so.
Henry is selfish. In canon, he turns on his own village of Plegia to aid the enemy in battle simply because he finds that to be the more entertaining option. He does not, (initially), appear to care about the welfare of others whatsoever, instead only focusing on what benefits him. Henry also tends to act on whims and speak without filter, unconcerned with how he may be perceived by others. Though he does not keep friends easily, (on account of being so creepy), he does befriend others and is relatively likeable! ...At least, until you get to know him.
...And most of those people perceive that he’s annoying. Henry’s sense of humor is very, very much an acquired taste, chock full of shock value, awful puns, and weird references. He laughs at inappropriate times, never seems to take anything seriously, and lives behind a façade of happiness. It appears that he knows his schtick, so to speak, and never deviates from it, always hiding behind his own brand of morbid humor. As a result, many around him either keep their distance, or write him off completely. Perhaps as a result of this, he’s often portrayed as a lonely person, stating that all his best friends are crows, and that he feels closer to most animals more so than people.
Positive: Henry’s greatest strength, (beyond his technical skills), is that he is obedient. When he bonds to someone, he bonds to them fiercely, and will heed their instructions faithfully and without question. He’s dutiful when it comes to orders, and does not stray from what he’s been told to do. This intensifies when he becomes romantically attached to another, at which point he can become profoundly yandere, even threatening to kill whosoever crosses the one he likes without hesitation.
Powers and Abilities: Henry is a Dark Mage, and quite an accomplished one at that. He can utilize a variety of curses or spells, (mostly harmful in nature, but sometimes benign), or rebound other curses. In canon he’s also shown to be able to do such menial things with his powers as fixing broken bowls with a spell produced out of nowhere, though they re-break the very next day. He also claims to have the ability to talk to all living things, including, (but not limited to), animals and plants. He cannot raise the dead or speak to the dead, however.
Inventory: Henry carries a magic tome full of curses/hexes and other fun things he can use to make enemies miserable. (Or dead! Usually dead.) That will be his only possession he carries with him to game, as his spells don’t require a wand or any other materials he carries on his person regularly.
Samples: Pls enjoy his TDM toplevel full of mayhem and merriment.
